In front of as much as 8 NBA GMs and numerous NBA executives present at 2011 Adidas Eurocamp, Croatian prospects managed to put together a decent display of their overall basketball skills and IQ over the past weekend.
On Saturday, Cibona Zagreb forward duet of SF Tomislav Zubcic and PF Leon Radosevic were instrumental in Adidas Eurocamp All-Star team 61:53 win over Serbian U19 NT.
Zubcic scored 10 points in 19 minutes of action while “showing his overall skill level and high basketball IQ” (source: DraftExpress.com).
Radosevic had 8 points and 3 rebounds in 21 minutes of action and managed to “drew a decent amount of buzz from NBA people in the stands” (source: DraftExpress.com).
On Sunday, Croatian U19 team led by Boris Barac’s 32 points (6-6 from three-point line) shot 60% from the field and dismental Serbian U19 team by 65:86 (17:24; 16:16; 21:22; 11:24). Croatia was without phenom Dario Saric who was sidelined with minor back problems.
Zagreb CO G/F Mario Hezonja who turned 16 on 25th of February added 17 points, while G/F Marko Ramljak had 12 points to go along with 5 boards and 5 steals. Gujanicic led Serbia with 19 points.
On Monday, Croatian U19 NT faced Adidas Eurocamp All-Star team and lost the game by 103:74, playing without Dario Saric. Croatia was simply oversized and overpowered by much older Adidas Eurocamp All-Star team. Boris Barac again led Croatia in scoring with 13 points.
