After posting a perfect 8-0 record in 2011 FIBA U16 European Championship Croatia took the gold medal with an expected 57:67 (19:22, 10:19, 10:12, 18:14) victory over the host Czech Republic in the final game of the competition.
Phenom Mario Hezonja (Zagreb CO) led the Croatia with 21 points and 10 boards. F/C Karlo Zganec (Feniks Zagreb) added 11 points, 11 boards and 4 assists while again proving his class.
Mario Hezonja has been named Tournament MVP. He averaged impressive 20.0 points, 8.2 boards, 2.7 assists and 2.2 steals during the course of the Tournament.
