According to the undisclosed source close to CroHoops.com Croatian NT forward Damir Markota (6’10”/1985/XL Agency) is about to sign one-year extension with Olimpija Ljubljana.
Markota had a solid season for Olimpija proving many of his critics wrong. As coach Zdovc’s “glue guy” he was essential in providing the team with the right play in the critical game moments. In 2010/11 Euroleague season he averaged moderate 8.5 points and 4.5 rebounds.
Impression is that Croatian basketball’s “enfant terrible” has reached the steady part of his career.
