Several days ago Cibona’s President Zdenko Antunovic has reportedly stated the following:
“We are in direct contact with Andrew and his father Mio. Like real patriots, they want to help Cibona, and without any salary, only with paid insurance. Bogut’s only condition is that we will play in tEuroleague.”
Milwaukee Bucks star Andrew Bogut was unpleasantly suprised with such a statement. He has specifically denied any possibility of playing for Cibona in the series of his Twitter.com profile updates:
“Just got word that Im signing with Cibona if the lookout were to go ahead?? I have NEVER spoken to the president of bball at Cibona.”
“So I’m not sure where his comments are coming from and on what grounds. As all players will through this lockout I will always have an open mind [regarding] clubs worldwide. As of today my only concern is getting my elbow right and working on my game this offseason.”
7’0” Aussie with Croatian origins has been selected by the Bucks organization with #1 pick in 2005 NBA Draft.
