SKINNY: 6’7”/1995 versatile forward comes from the basketball family and has been coached from the early age by father Kresimir Zganec, head of BC Feniks Zagreb with the coaching experience Cibona Zagreb’s cadets/juniors programs.
Led his team to 2011 Croatian Final Four and impressed the scouts along the way with his versatile play. Prototypical player with very good fundamentals, but also likes to work.
Along phenom G/F Mario Hezonja, Zganec has been instrumental in Croatian U16 NT success in the recent 2011 European Championship where the team finished the competition with 9-0 record and won the golden medal.
Zganec led the team in rebounds (8.6), steals (3.2) and blocks (0.8) to go along with 8.1 points per game. He is a Team-first player who will do whatever it takes to win each game. Loves to lead the break after he takes defensive rebound.
Has an almost automatic spin move in the lane and he doesn’t hesitate to use it against anyone. Should move even more without the ball. Excellent rebounder – expect him to become even more dominant around the basket with the age progress.
Able to play positions 1-5 at the age of 16.
