Ford is known for his explosive first step and moves to the basket
According to the sources struggling Croatian champion Zagreb CO has signed 7-year NBA veteran PG T.J. Ford in an attempt to resurge it’s Adriatic League (4-4) and Euroleague (1-4) campaigns.
After being drafted with the 8th pick overall in 2003 NBA Draft by Milwaukee Bucks Ford averaged 11.4 points and 5.9 assists while playing for 3 different NBA teams (Bucks, Raptors, Pacers).
Independent basketball analyst close to CroHoops.com rated this transaction with “A” grade: “Ford is just what Zagreb CO needs right now. Point guard who will take care of the ball, improve on-ball defense and make them run more in transition.”

26-year-old Croatian NT G Roko Ukic suffered a broken metatarsal bone in his foot during practice on July 29th and is likely to be out until mid-September.
“I am heartsick and terribly disappointed,” Ukic said. “I do not know what else to say. I was so looking forward to playing at the EuroBasket where I really wanted to help Croatia.” (source: fibaeurope.com)
PG Dontaye Draper, Croatia
Cedevita Zagreb PG Dontaye Draper made his debut for Croatia and has become the first American basketball player EVER to play for Croatian senior NT.
Draper immediately helped Croatia breeze to a couple of easy victories over Bulgaria (72:59, 77:54) in friendly encounters held in Osijek couple of days ago.
Considering the fact that G Roko Ukic has suffered an injury Draper could see extended minutes for Croatia in the upcoming European Championship.
