SMALL FORWARD BOJAN BOGDANOVIC CIBONA ZAGREB
D.O.B.:18.04.1989.
HEIGHT:6’7”/202cm
WEIGHT:216lbs/98kg
PERSONAL: name pronounced Bo-Yan Bogh-Dan-Ovich…born in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina…played volleyball as youngster…began playing basketball for BC Zrinjski Mostar back in 2005…spend several years developing his game in the Spanish minor leagues…moved to Cibona in the summer of 2009…member of senior Croatian NT from 2010…Cibona’s leader in 2010/11 season…
ACCOMPLISHMENTS: averaged 17.3 points and 5.6 rebounds at the U20 European Championship in 2009…averaged 8.1 points and 2.9 rebounds in the 2009/10 Euroleague season and 16.6 points and 3.3 rebounds in the 2009/10 Croatian League season….named Euroleague player of the week after helping Cibona reach the Top 16 with 22 points (6 out of 6 three-pointers made) and 9 rebounds against Khimki…After leading all Croatian scorers with 17 points vs USA in 2010 World Championship opener he finished the competition as a 2nd overall scorer of Croatian NT.  During the tournament, at times he has carried Croatian NT on his shoulders, especially with the ability to consistently score from perimeter and to attack the offensive boards…

WHAT HE HAS: decent athlete…solid on the glass, excellent on the offensive glass…has range, can not be left alone on perimeter…quick in transition…loves to play in the clutch…

WHAT HE NEEDS TO IMPROVE: overall level of aggressiveness on defense…ball-handling, especially cross-over moves…creating his own shot when under pressure…

COMPARISON: Chief of Philadelphia 76ers scouting Courtney Witte has reportedly compared him to Argentinian G/F Carlos Delfino in 2010 because of his overall stature/movements.

RECENT UPDATE:

vs Regal Barcelona: he showcased his offensive potential by scoring 26 points on 10-18 shooting from the field. At this point, when we all know that he can drive by or shoot over his defender, he is starting to fascinate with his ability to play the point, cross-over defenders at will and create some great looks for his open teammates. To make his team more competitive and effective he needs to get rid of the ball faster on certain occasions  and try to exploit his vertical leap superiority more on the offensive boards – 26-11-2010
