Being Aleksandar Petrovic’s son and Drazen Petrovic’s nephew never really helped talented 6’4” combo guard Marko Petrovic in his basketball career.
After leaving his alma mater Cibona Zagreb, Petrovic was a part of stellar Findlay Prep (Las Vegas, Nevada) squad in 2009/10 and University of San Francisko freshman in 2010/11.
Although he showed quite a promise for USF Dons while averaging 5.8 points, 1.9 boards and 1.1 assists in 17.4 minutes per game in his freshman season, Petrovic has decided to alternate his career path.
Having signed three-year deal Petrovic has reportedly joined his father’s and uncle’s alma mater Sibenik which might be on a way to make some serious domestic competition to respective Dalmatian counterparts Split and Zadar.
Expect Petrovic to bring a unique set of skills as well as invaluable international experience on board of exciting Jolly Jadranska Banka Sibenik squad which also reportedly added PG Ronald Ross, G/F Luka Katura, F Stipe Rezic and C Denis Vrsaljko.
Cibona Zagreb make just another move to futherly strengten up it’s backcourt in order to boost it’s chances for the upcoming Euroleague qualification cycle.
22-year old 6’4” combo guard Demonte Harper had a solid NCAA career. While starring for Morehead State Eagles he posted 15.5 points, 5.0 boards and 3.4 assists per game.
Harper is known for his late game heroics vs NCAA powerhouse Lousville in 2011 March Madness when he hit a game winning three with 4.2 seconds left on the clock.

Newly-appointed Florida Gulf Coast University head coach Andy Enfield has announced that that Croatian forward Filip Cvjeticanin (Croatia/American School of Madrid) has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to join the Eagles next season.
Cvjeticanin’s father Danko was a great complementary guard to the legendary Drazen Petrovic while playing for Cibona Zagreb and has later become a prominent international scout for Philadelphia 76ers and most recently New Jersey Nets.
Although 6’9” Cvjeticanin could be considered “the late bloomer” he should be able to provide some formidable help to Eagles with his outside shooting skills, size and overall skill set.
After 2 long seasons in Texas Croatian center prospect Dragan Sekelja (7’0”/250lbs) made a career decision to transfer from NCAA powerhouse Baylor to Florida Atlantic University which is located in Boca Raton, Florida.
Flodida Atlantic Owls went 21-11 last season before 62:85 loss to Miami(Fl.) in the 1st round of NIT Tournament. The Owls are orchestrated by experienced head coach Mike Jarvis.
After posting 1.4 points and 0.8 rebounds in just 3.4 minutes per game for Baylor Bears Sekelja seems to be very pleased with the change in his life: “I am looking forward to play for Florida Atlantic. I believe that with the addition of some players we will become a legit Sweet 16 contender.”
Here is Josip Mikulic’s exclusive statement regarding his recent decommitment from NC State:
“Right now I am performing the best I can for my AAU team. Depending on my performance and recruiting activities taken out by various NCAA colleges I will decide whether to return to the States in July or to stay in Croatia, probably at disposal to Croatian NT.”
Josip Mikulic, 6’11/220 lbs power forward from North Broward Prep School has decommited from North Carolina State Wolfpack and has re-opened up his recruitment.
Versatile Croatian power forward has commited to North Carolina State back in the February.
Right now he is playing for Nike Team Florida at AAU circuit.
