Even without their starting center Mario Kasun Croatian champion Zagreb CO managed to “stay alive” and achieve a relatively decent loss to Euroleague “dominators”, CSKA Moscow. Zagreb lost the game by 87-74 and now has 2-6 record.

CSKA’s center Nenad Krstic took advantage of Kasun’s absence and dominated in the middle from the very beginning of the game. He had 14 points and 9 boards in only 18 minutes of action. Ex-Cibona Zagreb guard Jamont Gordon added 18 points for the Russian powerhouse which now has perfect 8-0 record.

Guard Kruno Simon paced Zagreb CO with 21 points and 5 assists while PF Josh Heytvelt added 19 points (3-4 three-pointers) and 5 boards for the visitors.
